These guys came to Shooting Star on March 7, 2009. Legacy is the little one. He lost his mother to starvation and barely survived himself. Scarlet follows him out of the truck. She was so close to death from starvation at one point, I hardly recognized her from Careen’s photographs. In them, she’s lying down, looks like a skeleton and could barely stand up. She and Legacy have a wonderful connection. She acts as his adoptive mom.
