I’m a volunteer at Shooting Star. In addition to mucking stalls, giving Ginger cool baths, and looking online for a good, sturdy set of clippers (if you have some and want to donate them, we’d use them!), I’ve also been gradually getting this webpage set up and managing the Shooting Star Flickr account.

Last weekend’s 65-degree saturday was perfect weather for being outside. Check out these recent pictures Careen took of volunteers with George, Blondie and Harold.

You’ve only heard from me so far (aside from the blog I reposted for Careen regarding 3 Strikes Ranch) because I’m still trying to find time to sit down with Careen and walk her through navigating the new page. Today I added a new category in the main menu called How Can I Help? and six new pages that offer you many options for giving, from financial support to getting active in your own community through education and raising awareness about responsible horse ownership. Here’s a peek. Try it and give us feedback!
