RE: Jason Meduna of 3 Strikes Ranch

My name is Careen Cain and I operate Shooting Star Stables and Equine Rescue, Inc., south of Topeka. I have been involved in the unraveling of a horrible situation with 3 Strikes Ranch, a large Mustang rescue in Alliance, Ne in which there is now a press release I am forwarding on in hopes you find it news worthy. This situation has been wracked with red flags from the get go as he began fundraising on a large internet forum over a month ago for donations as he claimed horses were being poisoned. He reported a young colt had died of toxins and a necropsy was performed, which was not true as I called the vet and confirmed after nearly a month that the colt was still alive and was brought to the clinic severely emaciated, with no evidence of toxins.
 
This has been a huge situation in which the Rescue founder, Jason Meduna was arrested yesterday and will be facing varioius charges. Please take a moment to read this press release, as it is horrifying.  Over 60 horses are confirmed dead and many others remain unaccounted for. There are tremendous needs to care for the remaining horses that are in critical condition.
